Are you looking for a new adventure?

We may be able to help!

For some weeks now, we’ve been working with the London School of Management Education looking at providing access to higher education for members of the autistic community, and we’re very pleased to announce news of this fantastic opportunity.

The LSME is a unique mainstream education institute based in Gants Hill that, in partnership with Sycamore Trust U.K., aims to play a leading role in overcoming barriers that can often prevent those with a disability from accessing higher education. They plan a series of workshops and taster sessions, along with interviews and assessments, developing individual learning plans to tailor studies and support to each individual student.

This is a wonderful opportunity to support families and young people to further their education, gain qualifications, and ultimately, enhance employment prospects.

Sycamore's Nikki Murphy said " People with disabilities can often come up against barriers that prevent them from accessing higher education opportunities, such as degree level qualifications. The aim of this project is to break those barriers down, giving each individual the tools and support needed to continue with their education. Barriers come in many forms, for example, not having the right qualifications to progress, being unable to travel independently, needing one-to-one support in a class, or needing an advocate to help understand and express your ideas etc. This is a fantastic opportunity to not just overcome those barriers, but to completely break them down, enabling individuals to become more independent and reach their full potential."
