Coronavirus update; Monday 23rd March 2020

It may not come as a huge surprise, but the Autism Hub in the Liberty Centre will be closed to the public until further notice. In line with other services offering by the London Borough of Havering we will not be offering face-to-face support for the foreseeable future, but we’re still available on the telephone. In addition, our youth clubs will not operate for the next couple of weeks. We’ll have another look after the Easter break, but we will of course be guided by government advice. All our staff can be reached on either 020 8517 9317 or 01708 749816 Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm and that will continue even if the official guidelines change and we are forced into either a partial or total shutdown.

We recognise that this may be a distressing and unsettling time for many of our service users and we aim to open our doors again at the earliest opportunity. We are still available to offer vital support to individuals and families, although for the time being, this will be on the telephone, via email or over social media. We’re also working on providing some alternative provision to ensure that we maintain contact and that our service users do not feel isolated or detached. We look forward to the resumption of normal services before long, but in the meantime, follow the advice from local and central government, and stay safe.
