From Rio to Romford!
Romford solicitors Mullis & Peake held another fund raiser for the Sycamore Trust last week and it was Carnival time in their Eastern Road premises! The Champions Parade may have taken place in Rio de Janiero last Saturday, but there was plenty of colour, music and samba in Romford last Wednesday!
Mullis & Peake chose Sycamore Trust as their charity of the year and each department has to come up with a fund raising idea. So far, we have had Halloween, Christmas and games events, but the Private Client team's Romford carnival was easily the most colourful.
The Private Client team is led by Samantha Hamilton (pictured below), who stood out in a multi coloured wig and feather boa. Sam said "The Wills, Probate & Court of Protection teams at Mullis & Peake LLP were excited and enthusiastic about fundraising for our current charity of the year, Sycamore Trust. The theme was Mardi Gras, so we went all out to decorate the venue and ourselves - #DareToBeDifferent2020. We were pleased at the support given by local businesses who donated raffle prizes and the keen interest in buying tickets from the staff at Mullis & Peake LLP. We had some lovely cakes, plus other food and drink prepared by the team (and their families), and fun was had playing games to score points for the participants’ teams. The photo booth to record the event was also popular. The result was over £500 raised for Sycamore Trust.”
