Making waves!

Our third day at Stubbers!

Everyone of our young people spent some time on the water during our fourth day at Stubbers.  In the morning, we thoroughly enjoyed the powerboat rides, courtesy of Martin, our instructor.  After showing them how it was done, Martin sat aside and let each of our young people take the wheel and drive the boat around the lake, which was great fun!  After lunch one of our groups headed off into the woods for bushcraft, followed by orienteering whilst the other groups donned life jackets for an afternoon of canoeing.

Canoeing is great fun if both of you are paddling in the same direction, but it can be quite difficult, especially if the passengers are more interested in jumping into the water, which seems to be the case with most of our youngsters.  For those on dry land, it was an opportunity to try some new skills and for the adults, a chance to comfortably break through the 10,000 steps a day target!
