Pathways Project nominated

National awards recognition

The Sycamore Trust has been shortlisted for a major children’s award, with the winners to be announced this autumn.  The Parenting Pathways project has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Safeguarding category in the 13th annual Children’s & Young People Now Awards 2018.

The awards offer an opportunity to raise the profile of projects and initiatives to funders and the public and is an acknowledgement of the work being done.  The Parenting Pathways project supports adults with learning difficulties to develop their parenting capacity and it has empowered some of the more vulnerable members of society since it’s inception in 2015 and many people have gone on to provide safe and nurturing care for their children.

Project manager Jean Rayner said “we’re delighted to be nominated for such prestigious award.  We are hoping for good news on the night but to have our work recognised in a national competition is outstanding.”

The award ceremony takes place in November.
