The Autism Ambassadors are no strangers to a busy schedule and last week managed two presentations on the same day in Redbridge libraries. Last Monday, Ambassadors Alex & Robert were joined by three young women volunteers to help with the presentations, which took place in the morning at Gants Hill Library, followed by an afternoon visit to Redbridge Central Library in Ilford.
Alex and Robert were joined by regular Ambassadors Raj-Tara and Caragh and we were pleased to welcome teenager Daisy for her first appearance with us. We were delighted to welcome the three young ladies and plan to try and run more ‘girls’ presentation days’ in the future.
VisionRCL run the library service and seven leisure centres in Redbridge and the fact that several staff now have a basic awareness of autism is a positive outcome for autistic residents using these services.
