It was standing room only at our building in Dagenham this week as a group of trustees, staff, support workers and volunteers underwent statutory safeguarding training to enable us to properly look after the young people in our care.
There's no more important subject for us than the safety of the various group members and the training often covers some very difficult subject matter, leading to lively debate among the participants.
Safeguarding training has to be completed by all our staff, volunteers and sessional workers, regardless of seniority and experience and it has to be done by everyone on an annual basis.
