Now that our groups are back to meeting again face to face, we're at last able to try and do some new things. Whilst we have been very busy over the past 15 months, with regular virtual meetings, puzzles, quizzes and exercises, not to mention the summer activities last August, ther's nothing like getting together in person.
Our Alpha and Bravo groups have been getting to grips with some new technology since we resumed the clubs as we've been introducing some new equipment to the youth clubs. Thanks to the generosity of Countryside Properties, we were able to purchase some photography equipment, including a couple of very smart cameras and our young people have been getting used to the new technology in the last couple of meetings, with one or two of them displaying great aptitude and a keen eye for photography.
Our Alpha and Bravo groups are funded by the Mayor of London's Young Londoners Fund and are available for anyone in Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge with high functioning Autism, aged 10-16 and attending a mainstream school. They meet on a Wednesday and Thursday night and new members are always welcome. For more information, email activities@sycamoretrust.org.uk
