Sports Day!
Romford solicitors Mullis & Peake held another of their fund raising events in support of their Charity of the Year, Sycamore Trust UK, at their building in Eastern Road last week.
M&P have been fund raising for Sycamor Trust since last summer and have held a number of activities, including a Scavenger Hunt, a Halloween event and a Christmas wonderland, but this was by far the most combative, as departments within the company competed against each other in a series of challenges, dubbed the Hunger Games.
There were various card games, plus Hungry Hippo, Buckaroo and some very tense games of Connect Four, followed by lunch - hence the Hunger Games. It was a brilliant event and great fun apart from the important fund raising element. Each M&P department has to come up with their own idea for an event and last Friday's festivities came courtesy of the Company and Commercial team.
M&P member Denise Madams said; "Last week’s triumphant Hunger Games event, hosted by the Commercial Team at Mullis & Peake LLP, saw the competitive side of the departments compete with each other over some nostalgic board games to be crowned the Hunger Games champions. It was a fast, exciting and very noisy competition which saw the Dispute Resolution team and the Accounts/Marketing team claim the top prize. A delicious lunch was provided by the Commercial Team’s, Eva Daboh, which was welcomed by all competitors to restore their energies. “
Despite the obvious disadvantage of having Sycamore's Steve Dixon in their ranks, M&P's Dispute Resolution team actually did very well. Steve said, "We're constantly surprised at the level of effort and thought that go into these events at Mullis & Peake. They are always great fun and we're extremely grateful for their continued support."
