Three weeks to go!
The countdown to our annual Stubbers week is well and truly under way now with just over three weeks until we take a group of lucky young people to the outdoor adventure centre in Essex to enjoy a week of outdoor activities and confidence building exercises.There are still a tiny handful of places available, so it's not too late to get your young person on the five day course, but you need to move quickly!
Stubbers week is the highlight of the Sycamore Trust UK calendar. We all look forward to the week long residential course which involves a wide range of activities for young people on the spectrum. They get to take part in a variety of activities that they perhaps would not normally have access to, including archery, climbing, skateboarding, off road driving, high ropes, canoeing and kayaking. The young people learn vital social and communication skills, and it's an enormous boost to confidence and self esteem.
Stubbers week is only available to Sycamore Trust UK members aged 8-18 but don't panic if you're not a member. Please click the button at the bottom of this page to download the form which can be returned to us by post or email. We'll also take membership payments over the phone on 020 8517 9317. Membership costs just £20 per year, per family and includes a range of benefits, so it's well worth joining.
