Training Day!
Our two Parent and Carer training days have been a huge success. We held the first one in our Autism Hub in Romford in May and the second one took place this week at our premises in Dagenham.
We're aiming to provide more information and support to parents and carers and both training days were fiully booked. So much so in fact, that we'll set a couple more dates later this year.
Trainers Nikki Murphy and Debbie Gadbury guided the assembled parents through a range of subjects and activities, all designed to help everyone gain a greater understanding of life on the autistic spectrum. Among the topics that were covered were the Triad of Impairments, speech & language, how to help with sensory issues and many related subjects. There were a couple of exercises and a short film about sensory overload, so all in all, a very busy morning.
