Trevor's on target
With just over a month to go until the Virgin Money London Marathon at the beginning of October, our man Trevor Hazell is building up his training for the big race. Like so many mass participation events, the London Marathon fell victim to Covid-19 last April and has now been re-arranged for October 2021 to give race organisers the best chance of ensuring that the event will go ahead.
Local boy Trevor was born a stone's throw from our premises in Dagenham and he is competing on behalf of Sycamore Trust, hoping to post a good time and raise lots of money at the same time. He's no stranger to long distance running and he warmed up for the 26 mile race on October 3rd by posting a very impressive time in the Clacton half marathon recently. Trevor completed the 13 mile course in 1 hour, 40 mins & 20 seconds, despite the wet and windy conditions.
