World Autism Awareness Week on the horizon

World Autism Awareness Week is fast approaching and we've got big plans at the Sycamore Trust.  Awareness week is a vital period in the calendar and we're aiming to get as much attention as w possibly can.  Autism is a hidden disability and is often overlooked, so we will once again be hoping that our #DaretobeDifferent campaign will raise awareness, as well as sme much needed revenue.

The central theme of Dare to be Different is that being autistic isn't strange or wrong, it's just a different version of what we are used to. By doing this, we’re hoping that people will understand Autism Spectrum Disorder a bit more and maybe be more understanding towards people who are a bit different to the conventional idea of normal. Please join in and spread the word to friends and family, schools and businesses. We're asking everyone to wear something unusual on Friday 3rd April and donate £1 to the Sycamore Trust. We've now got a registration page live on our website, so please click here to find out more http://www.sycamoretrust.org.uk/get-involved/dare-to-be-different

Dare to be Different day is going to be 3rd April 2020, which is the last Friday before the schools break up for Easter, but if someone wanted to do it on a different date, that's fine with us too! We had wonderful support last year from schools and businesses throughout the boroughs of Redbridge, Havering and B&D and we're hoping to do even better this year!
