30k for 30 years!

We've set a fundraising target for our 30th anniversary!

In 2026, we will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of Sycamore Trust UK.

Our organisation, that began in 1996 as a parent support group for parents of autistic children, will turn 30 in October and we have a number of events in the pipeline to celebrate this important milestone.

In addition, we have set ourselves a fund-raising target.  As it's our 30th birthday, we are aiming to raise £30,000, which is more than we've ever done before in a calendar year, and we are going to need your help!

We've got a number of events lined up, but we're hoping that we'll get some individual fund raising activities to help us towards our total.  Now, we know that our wonderful service users will come up with lots of ideas of their own, but just to give you some food for thought, here are a few ideas we came up with;

  • Could you run 30 miles over a 30 day period?
  • Could you walk a mile a day for 30 consecutive days?
  • Could you go without alcohol, cigarettes or chocolate for 30 days?
  • Could you visit all the London venues on the Monopoly board?
  • Could you visit all 31 of London's senior football clubs?
  • Could you walk 30,000 streps in a day?
  • Could you swim 30 lengths of the swimming pool?
  • Could you visit 30 stations on the TFL network?
  • Could you read 30 books this year?

These are just the ones that we came up with, but there are lots of other ideas, either for individuals, or for gropup activities.  Feel free to be creative!

We've got some materials that could help you raise sponsorship money, so if you'd like to get some help for your activitiy, please drop us a line at marketing@sycamoretrust.org.uk and we'll be in touch!
