A new Frontier!
Our Autism Ambassadors delivered their CPD accredited Autism Awareness training earlier this week to staff at Frontier Economics, in the City of London.
Frontier Economics is one of the largest economic consultancies in Europe with premises in London, Berlin, Cologne, Prague, Paris, Madrid, Dublin and Amsterdam.
We are enormously grateful to Frontier staff for all their help this year, as they produced a wonderful report on the level of social value provided by Sycamore Trust services, calculating that for every £1 spent with us, we produce £9 of social value.
We were made very welcome on Tuesday, when our team of three delivered our training, and it prompted a lively discussion as the session came to a close.
We received some great feedback;
- I learned that autistic individuals often interpret things literally, which means that simple instructions can be misinterpreted
- I learnt people with autism do not respond to things in the same way a neurotypical person does
- It was really helpful to learn about different traits of autism and how they can present in different people
