Sycamore Trust UK CEO, Cheryl Kearney writes;
I wanted to share some sad news with our community. After 30 years of supporting parent/carers and children with ADHD, Addup will be closing its doors on 29th May 2026 due to a lack of funding.
For three decades, Addup has been there for thousands of children and families, offering understanding, practical support, and reassurance when it was needed most. The feedback we have received over the years really shows just how valued this charity has been and the difference it has made in so many lives.
Sadly, the current climate for charities is incredibly tough. Local authority funding has reduced, and many external funders are facing overwhelming demand. We would gently encourage parent/carers and the wider community to support the local charities that have supported and guided them through challenging times. Even small acts of support can make a huge difference to a charity’s future.
AddUp has shared an open invitation for everyone to come together and celebrate the amazing 30 years they have spent supporting the ADHD community, and we hope many of you will be able to join them.
