Fledgelings find their feet!

We still have some stories to tell from Autism Acceptance Week in April and one worth telling involves Emma Farrow Brookes and the staff and children at Fledgelings Day Nursery.

Emma took part in our sponsored walk at the beginning of April in Raphael park and some of the children from the nursery came along at the start to cheer her along.  But that wasn't all - in honour of Emma’s walk, the toddlers at the Rainham nursery did laps of the garden too!  And the children were also very busy painting, wearing odd socks, and baking cupcakes to sell to raise money.  Thanks to the support of the nursery, Emma raised over £400 toweards our total on the day, so we're grateful not only to her, but also to all the families at Fledgelings.

We will also see Emma next month as she deliveres a workshop at our premises in Dagenham. On 23rd June, she will host a workshop entitled Pre-Schiool & nursery support.  Emma has 22 years’ experience as a qualified SENDco and she is also a parent to a child who is neurodiverse.  Her workshop will outline what support your child can access within a pre-school nursery setting if they have additional needs.  More details from enquiries@sycamoretrust.org.uk
