Join us at Raphael Park for our annual sponsored walk!

It's time to start planning our Autism Acceptance Week for 2026!

One event that we always look forward to is our annual sponsored walk and this year, our fifth annual Autism Acceptance Week sponsored walk takes place on Wednesday 25th March 2026. In normal circumstances, we'd have picked the following week, but that falls in the Easter school holidays, so we plumped for March 25th, and, as we did last year, we'll be basing our walk around Raphael Park in Romford.

It's all part of our efforts for Autism Acceptance Week, building up to our Dare to be Different day on Friday 27th March. We would love for as many people as possible to join us, catching up with old friends and making some new ones along the way. We're hoping to raise funds for the Sycamore Trust and highlight awareness and empathy of autism at the same time.

The walk starts at 10.00am and we should be finished around 2pm. If you're joining us, please meet us inside the gatehouse on Main Road before 10.00am. If you're coming, please note that there are some parking restrictions, as detailed below;

  • You can only park for 3 hours – it is free but still have to use Ringo app to register & pay
  • There is some free parking at back of park – along Parkway
  • 174 and 498 buses stop outside the park on Main Road.
  • If you spend less than £5 at the café in the park you need to bring cash.
