Kidspace success!

After our annual walk & talk in Raphael Park a fortnight ago, there was no time to waste as we headed to nearby Kidspace in Romford for a wonderful occasion that we will probably have to do again in future, as the event was such a success.

We held an inclusive, neuro-diverse event, and thanks to the fabulous support of fine art specialists Aurum Fox, we were able to offer this event to families at no charge. We were inundated with requests for places, and it was a huge success.

We received the following message from one of the parents who attended;

"Hi, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for Kidspace, my daughter absolutely loved it! We are a family with neurodivergence; husband has diagnosed autism, I have OCD and our daughter has autism and ADHD signs. We went Kidspace before and she hated it and we left, my husband won’t even go in them. Normally she really struggles with soft play but she absolutely loved it, she really loved the aquarium bit and we didn’t even get in there before. Honestly it was incredible."

It's always lovely to receive messages like that, and we know how many families enjoyed the occasion. Thanks must go to the Sycamore staff that came along to make sure the event went well and huge thanks to Aurum Fox, whose support ensured that the event could go ahead.

Sycamore Trust CEO Cheryl Kearney was delighted with the day.  She said;

"It was a truly special occasion — full of love, connection and inclusivity. Parents and carers shared how meaningful it was to relax while their children played safely, independently, and were free to be themselves.    With over 130 parent/carers and children attending it really was a unique event. We’re now looking for further sponsorship to help make these events a regular part of what we offer, so even more families can benefit. A heartfelt thank goes to Aurum Fox for sponsoring this event and to the amazing Kidspace team for their warmth and support—we can’t wait to work together again. We’re so grateful to everyone who made this possible."
