Kidspace triumph!
Our second Kidspace event proved just as popular as the first, with all tickets being booked within the first few days!
It was wonderful to see so many families looking relaxed, happy, and enjoying every moment of the experience. Creating a space where families can have fun together in a supportive environment is exactly what these sessions are all about.
A huge thank you to Barclays and their incredible team for not only funding this event, but also giving up their time to volunteer and learn more about autism. Your support made this event possible, and we are so grateful.
We would love to run more Kidspace sessions in the future. If your company, organisation, or employer is looking to make a real difference to autistic children and their families by sponsoring a session, we'd be delighted to hear from you. Together, we can continue creating opportunities for families to make lasting memories.

Here are some of the comments we received, after the event;
- Thank you for organising the kidspace for the families and kids. We really had a nice time yesterday and it was lovely meeting Sycamore team as well.
- Thank you so much for arranging such a wonderful event for Special Need Children. My son had wonderful time. It was so safe for him and he was so happy. I'm really thankful for arranging something like this for our children. This is so thoughtful of you.
- The event at Kidspace in Romford for my child was calm, fun and it makes such a difference that the place was closed for the public and to be used for children with special needs to get their time to run around, feel relaxed and to be able to actually use the facilities. When I personally take my son to places like that when it is full to capacity and have all sorts of children running riot my son gets overwhelmed and can be nervous to go and try things as its too packed and other children are too much for him whereas kidspace being closed for his needs and other children's needs gives them an opportunity to play, learn and be who they are surrounded by others who understand and get them.
- The session was a amazing space for both my children. It meant their different needs and they could play without concerns. My son has noise sensitivities due to the fan being on but once I collected his ear defenders he was happy to play. My daughter was able to play along with him and other friends and the tables in the middle allowed me to keep an eye i them but also socialise with other parents. Th space is wonderful when it’s SEN families only and I hope this will become a regular occurance
- Thank you for a fantastic session at Kidspace on July 13th. We thoroughly enjoyed this Sycamore trust session and it is far more accessible and Autism friendly than the generic public sessions. It is a joy to attend the Sycamore trust sessions that you have provided and we are extremely grateful to have been offered a place
- We attended the kids space event both of my twins who are 4 years old really enjoyed it. Especially my daughter normally when we go to kidspace she doesn't leave my lap or will go off play for 2-3 mins then will come back and sit down after maybe 10mins of playing. But when we came for this event, she played alone for longer she did keep coming to check I was watching her but for her this is amazing. Normally when we go to places like this it's so loud and busy and she struggles so to be able to go when it was quiet was amazing. I really hope more of these events happen
- The Kidspace event on the 13th of July was a truly valuable opportunity for SEND families only, and it made a big difference to us. Having a space designed specifically for our children meant they could explore, play and relax without feeling overwhelmed or out of place. SEND children and families also feel free as there was no judgement and lack of understanding of invisible disability (Autism). My son felt comfortable, included and able to enjoy the activities at his own pace. As a parent, it was reassuring to be in an environment where everyone understood SEND needs and where staff were patient, supportive and welcoming. Events like this help reduce isolation and give families a chance to connect with others who share similar experiences. Thank you for organising such a thoughtful day. More SEND only sessions like this would be a huge benefit to families in our community.
- Thank you so much for the lovely Kidspace event – my kids enjoyed it more than words can say! We really hope you’ll organise many more sessions like this, especially for autistic children and their families. Days like this are so valuable: they keep the children engaged and happy, and they do wonders for their mental health too. Having a supportive, inclusive space like this means the world to our whole family. Thank you again for everything you do – we’d love to join you again soon!
- Thank you so much for reaching out, and thank you for organizing such a wonderful event. Attending the Kidspace private play session provided true peace of mind for me as a parent, and my children thoroughly enjoyed every single moment. We are incredibly grateful to the entire team at Sycamore, the wonderfully friendly and helpful staff, and the Barclays team for making us feel so incredibly welcome. An exclusive, private space like this is of immense benefit to families like ours, offering a safe, low-stress, and joyous environment for our children to play freely. On behalf of my entire family, I want to say a tremendous thank you to the whole team. We truly hope this vital programme continues to receive the funding it deserves so that more families can benefit from these amazing opportunities in the future.
