Limited spaces remain for EPEC Being a Parent course

Empowering Parents Empowering Communities (EPEC) is a peer led parenting course delivered at the Sycamore Trust to help support parents and carers living in Barking and Dagenham on their parenting journey. The aim of the course is to equip parents/carers with practical parenting skills and meet others locally with the same age children going through the same challenges.

The course is for parents and carers living in Barking and Dagenham with a child 11 or under. Sessions are informal and provide parents and careers with a safe space to share and learn together.

Topics covered include

  • Being a parent
  • Play
  • Understanding children’s behaviour
  • Communication

The course will give you the tools to use at home to support yourself and your child. The course runs for 8 weeks and the dates are:

  • Wednesday 21st January – 10am to 12.30pm
  • Wednesday 28th January – 10am to 12.30pm
  • Wednesday 4th February – 10am to 12.30pm
  • Wednesday 11th February – 10am to 12.30pm
  • No Session over the Half Term Break
  • Wednesday 25th February – 10am to 12.30pm
  • Wednesday 4th March – 10am to 12.30pm
  • Wednesday 11th March – 10am to 12.30pm
  • Wednesday 18th March – 10am to 12.30pm

Venue - There is limited parking on site and there is no creche facility.
