Thank you to our Sycamore volunteers
Volunteers' Week 2026: A time to celebrate and say thank you. Volunteers' Week 2026 will be celebrated from 1st June to 7th June 2026. This week-long event is a significant occasion in the UK, running annually since 1984.
It is an opportunity to recognize and thank the millions of people who give their time and skills to help others and support vital causes in their communities. The week is an opportunity for organizations, charities, and communities to show appreciation for volunteers, share their stories, and highlight the impact of voluntary work across the UK.
We are fortunate to have some wonderful volunteers at Sycamore Trust. One of them is Rebecca Tansley, who told us how much she has enjoyed volunteering with us. She said;
I've been a member of Sycamore Trust for many years and volunteering in the office for nearly two years. Sycamore Trust is a fantastic company to work for, they have a real understanding of the struggles of parenting an autistic child/young person can bring . I absolutely love my role at Sycamore and I feel like i have something for myself in my life now and not just a parent/carer anymore, which is great for my mental health. I feel valued and appreciated by everyone at Sycamore Trust. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a volunteering role to reach out to Sycamore Trust and see what's available.
