Workshop winner

A very important event took place at the Sycamore Trust premises last Friday.  Thanks to the support of the LBBD Equality & Diversity Community Fund, we were able to offer a free workshop to parents and carers and all the places were snapped up very quickly.

Entitled 'Understanding Autism' the workshop will covered a variety of subjects, including challenging behaviour, communication differences and sensory sensitivities. 

We also discussed sharing strategies to help parents and carers to support their children and we unpicked some commn misconceptions around autism.

We received some lovely feedback after the event;

• "This workshop helps us to get a better understanding of autism.  We have also klearned some strategies that can help our children - thank you"
