A Work of Heart!

Volunteer at an organisation working in the heart of the community

Have you ever thought about doing something locally that would really benefit the community?  How about volunteering for a few hours a week, or even a couple of hours a month, to support our vital work in the local area?

We're looking for help in a number of areas, and from all areas of the community.  You don't have to know about Autism Spectrum Disorder, or be a parent or sibling of one of our young people.  You might be a retired person with time to spare, or a student looking for some experience in a social care environment.

There are a variety of volunteering roles if you're interested. Check out the following;

  • Youth Groups - supporting young people with Autism aged 10-16 learning life skills.  Location; Rainham & Dagenham (aged 16 and over)
  • Parenting Pathways - Supporting people with Learning Difficulties with parenting skills.  Location; local area (maturity & experience essential)
  • Autism Ambassadors - for young people on the autistic spectrum aged 12 & above - become part of a team telling the community what life with ASD is like
  • Trustee - for anyone with experience in the financial, business or social care sector; one evening meeting per month
  • Promotion - Supporting the Sycamore Trust, helping to raise our profile and awareness of ASD in general (aged 18 or over)
  • Marketing - ideas and enthusiasm needed!

Training provided and reasonable travel expenses reimbursed. If you'd like information or a volunteer pack, please contact
