The Autism Ambassadors were very kindly invited to give an autism awareness presentation to Havering Works, an employability scheme for young people in Havering based at Havering Town Hall. After the presentation, there was a good discussion about ways that the Havering Works team could assist young autistic people into employment, either through permanent positions, work placements or voluntary opportunities.
On this occasion, Alex and Robert were joined by volunteer ambassadors Cheryl, Sophie and Vincent. To become a volunteer ambassador, you need to be a young person with (or going through the diagnostic process of) autism who lives in Barking & Dagenham or Havering and aged 12-25.
