Face facts!

Followers of the Sycamore Trust on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram will be familiar with the new series of images, designed to raise awareness of autism and our Dare to be Different campaigns, but if you're not a follower on social media, read on!

Entitled #Autismfacts, each post is a bite sized statistic, fact or quote about Autism Spectrum Disorders and we've got a couple of dozen to get through between now and the beginning of April.  It's all part of our drive to make people more aware of autistic issues and autistic people, culminating in our Dare to be Different campaign in World Autism Awareness Week in April.

Marketing & Communications Manager Steve Dixon explained; "We wanted to produce some sharp, bullet point style images that would work on social media.  Nowadays, so many people access their social media through their smart phones, that we felt it was important to speak to them directly."

After a chat with our friends and all round design genuises Alchemy Creations, the result of the process is #Autismfacts, the first of which has already appeared on social media in the last few days, a brief statement or statistic designed to raise awareness of autism, which is our biggest challenge, given that ASD is a hidden disability and therefore hard to recognise.  But that's all we're going to tell you here - if you want to know more, you'll have to go to Facebook, Twitter, Linked In or Instagram to find out!
