Girls talk!

We need your help

One of our goals for 2019 is to increase the number of girls and young women using our services.  Although there are just as many females with autism, girls and young women tend to avoid diagnosis because they are good at copying and mimicry.  We're doing our best to find out what young women with ASD want from our services and we have some plans to introduce special services for women only this year.

But before we do that, we need your help.  We need to know what you want so we're asking girls and young women a few questions so that we can tailor those services properly.  If you'd like to help us, with complete anonymity, please fill out a short survey at  http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/SDIDW/

Sycamore Trust family services manager Debbie Gadbury said; "Only 20% of individuals diagnised with ASD are female and we know that figure doesn't represent the overall picture.  We're anxious to encourage more girls and young women to use our services so this informatiun will be vital in order that we can provide activities that are stimulating, interesting and relevant."
