It's that time of year again!

Who is coming to Stubbers?

It's the news we've all been waiting for!  We have begun planning for our week at Stubbers in August!

As anyone who has been there knows, this is the highlight of the year for us at the Sycamore Trust.  A week of outdoor activities, no tablets or phones, just loads of fun and lots of challenges, games and tests, designed to build confidence, boost self-esteem and encourage social contact as well as those vital communication skils.

Above all, it's just great fun!  We put all our electronic devices to one side, and we get out into the open air for a series of activities, some of which test the mind, some of which test the body, and most of which involve getting wet!

This year, our first day will be Tueday 17th August and we'll be there for the rest of the week, right up until mid afternoon on Frioday 20th August.  As was the case in 2020, we will not be offering any residential accomodation, because of social distancing guidelines, but we are still expecting to have a great week.

If you've not been to Stubbers, you can look forward to a week of bell-boating, canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding on the lake, and climbing, archery, dirt boarding and off road driving on dry land.

To take part in our week at Stubbers, you need to be a Sycamore Trust member aged 8-18 (unless a special arrangement has been made).  If your young person requires one to one support, you must either provide this or incur additional costs.  The prices have been held at the same level as 2020, so it's £43 per day and lunch is included.  There are some new facilities at the site in Upminster this year so there will be plenty to keep your young person occupied throughout the week.

Sycamore Trust members have been sent an email with details of our plans, but if you've not received anything, please drop a line to Jean at parentingpathways@sycamoretrust.org.uk

If you're not a member and you'd like to join in order to be able to join us at Stubbers, give us a call on 020 8517 9317 or click here; http://www.sycamoretrust.org.uk/get-involved/become-a-member
