Material Girls!
Our new fortnightly girls group is proving to be a huge success, and it's begun to produce some real results. The young ladies are now making items to be used as Christmas gifts and decorations, as well as learning those important social skills and improving their confidence and self esteem.
The group began a couple of months ago and started as a craft group, under the leadership of Harsharan Howell, but the girls have moved on from the basics and they are now producing more intricate items. One of the members has even purchased her own sewing machine so she can continue to produce more items at home.
There's only one slight problem - they are running out of materials! If there's anyone willing to donate any craft materials or textiles, we'd be only too pleased to use them.
