Mayor accepts award

The new Mayor of Redbridge, Debbie Kaur-Thiara was recently presented with an award from the Sycamore Trust UK following an autism evaluation at the Redbridge Institute of Adult Education carried out by the Redbridge Autism Awareness Roadshow (RAAR).
On Friday 22nd June 2018, one of our Autism Ambassadors, Robert Lamb was delighted to award a gold certificate of autism awareness to Redbridge IAE at its Festival of Learning awards ceremony. The Institute earned its certificate by undergoing an autism accessibility evaluation and allowing the Autism Ambassadors to deliver two autism awareness presentations to staff.
These certificates have been awarded through the RAAR project since 2014, although the project has now come to an end. The Redbridge IAE visit was one of a series of presentations that the ambassadors have delivered recently as demand has increased for autism awareness training.
