There's a new date for the Vitality 10,000m race that was postponed from its original date in 2020. The new date is May Bank Holiday, Monday 31st May 2021.
Of course, it's all for a good cause, to raise money for the Sycamore Trust, and the team are well on their way to a decent total, with plenty of time left for further fund-raising. The Sycamore team is led by chair of trustees Jo Baty and staff members Nikki Murphy and Steve Dixon, none of whom have any race experience, but them other two members of our five strong team, Trevor Hazell and Marc Butler, have both managed similar distances in the past. At least the coronavirus delay has allowed a bit more time for training!
The Vitality 10,000m starts on The Mall before heading down the Strand. The course takes in some of London's great landmarks, including St Paul's Cathedral and the Bank of England. Bank underground station is close to the halfway point, and the return journey takes a similar route before reaching Horse Guards Parade and the finish line on Birdcage Walk.
It's all to raise vital funds for the Sycamore Trust and there are various fund raising pages should anyone wish to sponsor our runners. To sponsor any of the Sycamore team, please click on one of the links below.
