It’s back to school this week for local children and this also signals the return of the Sycamore Trust Parent Support Group.
The parent groups are open to anyone, regardless of borough and they are a great way to get help and advice and find out about local services. In many cases, parents or carers supporting a child with autism don’t know where to turn and for people in this situation, the parent groups are a vital first step in the journey. Parents will get help and advice from people in the same situation as themselves and perhaps more importantly, realise that they are not alone.
