Telephone support from Havering Mind

Service also available in Barking & Dagenham

Mind in Barking & Dagenham (part of Havering Mind) is a local mental health charity. It provides services and support to people living in Barking and Dagenham and Havering who may be experiencing problems with their mental wellbeing.

They are delighted to share that Mind in Barking & Dagenham has secured funding from the London Community Response Fund to expand their Gateway Telephone Support Service into the Borough and offer extended opening hours. The main aim of the Gateway Telephone Service is to be the first point of contact for people seeking support for their own or someone else’s mental health, including: carers, GPs, health workers, family, friends, and colleagues.

The Service is available on 01708 457040 from Monday to Friday, 9am–7pm and both Saturday and Sunday, 10am–3pm. They can also be reached via help@haveringmind.org.uk or reach.us@haveringmind.org.uk  and through an online referral form on the website www.haveringmind.org.uk

This year has been a tough one for us all and the months of lockdown and loss have had a huge impact on our mental health. Mind in Barking & Dagenham has experienced Gateway staff who will provide the right support at the right time, by listening and helping with information, assessment and warm signposting to opportunities for mental health prevention, treatment, and recovery.
