Thank you, Mullis & Peake!

It is with much sadness that we reach the end of our period as Charity of the Year for Romford based solicitors Mullis & Peake.  Staff at M&P have taken part in a series of fund-raising events over the past two years, although the Covid pandemic severely restricted activity in the past 12 months.

Nevertheless, M&P have continued to support us with a range of clever and enjoyable events, including an emoji game and a quiz where staff had to identify their colleagues from pictures as babies!

Sycamore staff have joined in with many of the 2019 events, including the table tennis in the Liberty Centre and the scavenger hunt round Romford, which was great fun.  Apart from the laughs, there was a serious element, most notably raising important funds for Sycamore Trust UK and spreading the word about what we do, both of which were achieved many times throughout the last two years.

Jo Briton, Marketing Manager at Mullis & Peake LLP Solicitors, said: "We were delighted to be able to support the Sycamore Trust as our charity of the year for two years and are sad that their time as our chosen charity has come to a close. We hope the support we have offered has been worthwhile for this fantastic charity. We thoroughly enjoyed the events we could run before Covid-19 (such as the scavengers hunt, table tennis tournament and the department charity challenge) and then there were some fun during the pandemic such as the emoji quiz and the staff as babies quiz. It has been a pleasure finding out more about the charity and the amazing work they do and the opportunities they give families, carers and friends of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders. The trust does some fantastic work with individuals to help build strong ties with their local community, and develop skills that are highly valued on the job market and to improve personal and life skills.”

Although we're sad that our spell as Charity of the Year has come to an end, we've really enjoyed our partnership with Mullis & Peake and would like to thank them for all their support.  Indeed, that support will continue as Joanne Wood, Head of Property at M&P's Company and Commercial team, will be joining us for the Vitality 10k later this year.
