The heat is on!
The latest in our series of summer activity days took place yesterday in Harrow Lodge Park and once again, it was a great success. We'd been concerned at the weather forecasts with predictions of heavy rain, but in fact, it turned out to be another glorious day.
Our activity for the day was a scavenger hunt and we split into two groups and set off around the park to find all the things we needed to complete the task. There were 36 items to find, ranging from outdoor furniture to signage to wildlife.
Such was the enthusiasm for the job in hand that we were done in double quick time, leaving us with an hour or so to try some exercises in the outdoor gym. Yes, the gym, in roasting temperatures!
This was the third in our series of summer activities with the first twio taking place in Raphaels Park in Romford and Moby Golf in Dagenham. Next week, we are planning a series of activities at the Sycvamore premises in Dagenham, weather permitting of course.
