April is set to be a busy month here at the Sycamore Trust UK. We have World Autism Awareness Week and of course, our Dare to be Different day on April 5th.
It's a big month as well for two of our friends, who are going above and beyond the call of duty in their attempts to raise money for the Trust. First up is Ray Robertson, who has decided that the best way to raise funds is to jump out of a plane at 15,000 feet! Ray's niece Dawn brought her son to us a few years ago and the whole family wanted to express their gratitude for the work we did with Sofian. Ray is aiming for £500 but we think that he should get a lot more for a Sky Dive! He's now very close to his initial target but he still needs a final push before the big day on April 10th. Later in April, Andrew Ghagan is tackling the toughest challenge in athletics. He's running the London Marathon to raise cash as a thank you for the work we did with his nephew. Three year old Rico and his mum came to us in one of the early Speak With A Picture groups last autumn and we were able to help Rico with his communication skills. Andrew is running the 26 mile course around the capital at the end of the month and he's over halfway to his £1,000 target. Boost his total here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/andrew-ghagan
