Twin Peakes!

Another year with Mullis & Peake

Mullis & Peake LLP Solicitors have agreed to extend their support of the Sycamore Trust UK for another year. Each year, members at the Romford based business agree to nominate a particular local charity to support with a range of fund-raising initiatives and last summer, the Mullis & Peake members chose the Sycamore Trust. A number of creative and enjoyable fund-raising events have since taken place, including a scavenger hunt around Romford town centre and celebrations for Halloween and Christmas, raising a four-figure sum. However, the outbreak of coronavirus threatened to curtail future fund raising, until the M&P members decided to continue the relationship.

Samantha Hamilton, Member and Head of the Court of Protection team at Mullis & Peake LLP Solicitors and Panel Deputy, said: “We are delighted that the Sycamore Trust is going to be Mullis & Peake’s Charity of the Year for another year as the charity undertakes life changing work throughout the community. The charity provides unrivalled support to the families, carers and friends of individuals with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. We enjoyed several fun events last year and although we can’t replicate those at the moment we hope to do some fundraising later this year.”

Sycamore Trust UK spokesperson Steve Dixon said: “We are delighted that Mullis & Peake have agreed to extend their support through the Charity of the Year initiative. Fund raising is going to be tough when we get back to normal, so it’s a wonderful boost to have their financial support, as well as the advice, contacts and profile that we get from the relationship.”
