Welcome Jemma!

Turnover of staff at Sycamore Trust is generally very low, so it’s always a big deal when someone joins our team. With that in mind, it’s a very warm welcome to Jemma Taylor, who has joined us as Support Worker for our Autism Awareness training programme. As is so often the case with Sycamore staff, our newest addition is someone that is very well known to us, and we’re delighted to have her on board. Jemma and her husband Paul are great friends of our organisation, ever since they brought daughter Olivia along to the SWAP programme in 2019.

Jemma joins us to work alongside our Autism Ambassadors on our Autism Awareness training, which we started to roll out in the autumn of 2021. For some years now, our Autism Ambassadors have been involved in providing Autism Awareness training for the local community, but we’ve done a great deal of work recently to make their training more suitable for the business community.

In 2020, we were accredited by the CPD Standards Office, meaning that our training now contribute towards CPD points totals, but Covid-19 put the brakes on our progress. We’ve adapted the presentation so that it can be delivered on-line, and we feel sure that adding Jemma to the team will only strengthen our offering.

You can now book our CPD training for your organisation by visiting http://www.sycamoretrust.org.uk/our-training/

For individuals wishing to take part in Autism Awareness training, we have arranged a presentation via Eventbrite.  Tickets are £30 per head; click here for more information; http://www.sycamoretrust.org.uk/latest/article/February-training-date
