Wonderful week!
Last week was our annual trip to Stubbers and it was a huge success. We had a wonderful week with between 30 and 40 young people, some of whom came for a few days and others who were with us for the whole week.
The annual Stubbers trip is always the highlight of the Sycamore Trust calendar and this year was no exception, helped enormously by glorious weather. Of course, there are some activities that you can do in bad weather, but we're in no doubt that it's much more fun in the sunshine!
For 20 years now, we've been taking a group of young people to the Stubbers Adventure Centre in Essex and several of the young people in our care throughout that period now come back every year to volunteer, which adds to the family atmosphere around the place. Wthere you're an old hand, or if it was your first visit, it was great fun as the young people enjoyed a wide range of activities, both on dry land and on the lake, as they learned vital team building skills, and improved their communication.
