Stubbers 2017

I would like to say what an amazing week we had when took our members to Stubbers this year.

Stubbers is an outdoor pursuit centre based in Upminster where members get to try new and fun activities that they would not normally get to experience while being fully supported by Stubbers staff as well as fully trained Sycamore Trust U.K. staff and volunteers.

Over the week members got to take part in a range of activities including going through the tunnels of Stubbers to reaching the highest point on the climbing wall, falling off countless times in paddle boarding to flying across the lake while driving a Jet Ski.

If members stayed with us in the evening they also got the chance to experience the thrill of Stubbers at night time including walking round the lakes and through the forest in the dark to being blindfolded and led round the site watching out for those pesky obstacles. Members were also lucky enough this year to have the chance to sit round the fire pit at Stubbers and enjoy the calm and tranquillity of the night.

We are hoping to secure funding again for next year’s Stubbers Week and in preparation have already booked a date. The week for 2018 subject to funding will be: Monday 13th August 2018 - Friday 17th August 2018**. So place the date in your diaries now to make sure you avoid disappointment.

More details of Stubbers 2018 will be released nearer the time. If you have any further questions or would like more information please phone the office on 0208 517 9317 or email Chris.goodwin@sycamoretrust.org.uk

**To attend Stubbers with Sycamore Trust U.K. you will need to have an active membership with us and understand that places are allocated based on need and requirement. All places are subject to Sycamore Trust U.K. staff performing a risk assessment on your young person and we reserve the right to refuse a place or allocated less time that requested at our discretion. You also understand that if this would be your first time away with us your young person will not be allowed to stay the night.
