We're heading for Lambourne!

This summer, our outdoor week will take place at the Lambourne End Centre for Outdoor Learning, near Romford from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th August. It is our first visit to Lambourne and we're very excited!

There will be a number of new activities, as well as many of our traditional favourites from previous years, such as archery, kayaking and a brilliant ropes course. Perhaps the main difference is that Lambourne is also a working farm, so the young people will have the chance to get up close and personal with a variety of farm animals and learn where some of their food comes from. We are not offering any overnight accommodation, which was the case in 2020 and 2021, nor will we be providing lunches although we will make sure we have plenty of fruit & snacks available in between activities. Therefore, we’re asking parents & carers to provide a packed lunch for their children. This has enabled us to keep costs down, and we’re pleased to say that it will cost just £30 per day this year.

The outdoor week is only available to Sycamore Trust UK members aged 10 - 21 with a current risk assessment. Anyone wishing to join the membership can do so, but please note that we will need to complete a risk assessment on new members so we will need plenty of notice. Parents and carers should also note that local public transport is limited, so it will almost certainly involve dropping off and collection the young people by car.

Please drop us a line at marketing@sycamoretrust.org.uk  to indicate if you have a young person who would like to attend and please indicate if you wish to send them for the whole week or for selected days. This is a first come – first served offer and places are limited, so please let us know as soon as you can.
